How do I create an account?

Click "Login" then "Create Account". Choose your account type (Spaces & Jobs or Products & Offers), enter your details, and verify your email.

Is it free to use Chair Exchange?

Yes! Creating an account and posting standard listings is completely free. Featured listings cost £1 per day for enhanced visibility.

How do I post a listing?

After logging in, click "Create Ad". Select your category, workspace type, add details, upload a photo (or use a placeholder), and publish.

What images can I use?

You can upload your own photos (JPG/PNG, max 5MB) or use our free placeholder images. Important:

• You must own or have permission to use any images you upload
• No copyrighted images without authorization
• No abusive, offensive, or inappropriate images
• Images must accurately represent your workspace

How long do listings last?

You choose the duration when creating a listing: 3, 7, 10, 14, or 30 days. Listings automatically expire after this period.

Can I edit my listing after posting?

Yes! Go to your Account → My Ads, find your listing, and click "Edit". You can update all details including the photo.

What is a featured listing?

Featured listings have a gold border and star icon, making them stand out. They appear more prominently in search results.

How much does a featured listing cost?

£1 per day. For example, a 7-day featured listing costs £7, a 30-day listing costs £30.

How do I pay for a featured listing?

When creating a listing, select "Featured Listing" and choose your duration. You'll be redirected to Stripe for secure payment.

How do I search for workspaces?

Use the category tabs (Barbers, Hairdresser, Nails, Beauty) to filter. Enter a postcode and radius to search by location. Use the workspace type filter for specific options.

How do I contact a listing owner?

Click on any listing to view full details. Contact information (phone/email) is displayed. Contact the owner directly to arrange viewings or agreements.

Can I share a listing?

Yes! Click the "Share" button on any listing to copy the direct link. Share it via text, email, or social media.

How do I change my password?

Go to Account → Profile tab → Change Password section. Enter your current password and new password.

How do I delete a listing?

Go to Account → My Ads, find your listing, and click "Delete". This action cannot be undone.

Is Chair Exchange safe?

We provide the platform, but you should always:

• Verify workspace details before committing
• Meet in person to view spaces
• Use written agreements
• Report suspicious listings

How do I report inappropriate content?

Contact us at report@chairexchange.co.uk with the listing URL and reason. We review all reports within 48 hours.

What content is prohibited?

My image won't upload. What should I do?

Ensure your image is JPG or PNG format and under 5MB. Images are automatically resized to 1200x800px. Try a different browser if issues persist.

I forgot my password. How do I reset it?

Click "Login" then "Forgot Password". Enter your email and follow the reset instructions sent to your inbox.
